Behaviour Advice

Floyd As dogs have become more and more accepted as 'one of the family' over the last few decades, problem behaviour has drastically increased. Whilst almost all unacceptable canine behaviour is perfectly normal..... for a dog... we must find solutions to enable dog and human to co-exist happily together. Many dogs are destroyed due to problem behaviour and most of these behaviours can be overcome with expert help. Jacquie has studied dog behaviour for over 25 years and has dealt with an estimated 5,000 dogs with problems such as basic training problems, toilet training, chewing, and barking or separation problems.

The most common referral, which is perhaps the most worrying, is aggression. Most often caused by fear, we aim to prevent aggression problems developing through better education of owners, full socialisation of puppies and monitoring of temperament. However, for problems which have been allowed to develop, we have a range of successful, non-confrontational techniques to teach aggressive dogs how to alter their own behaviour.

Our reputation in dealing with aggressive dogs is second to none. Jacquie also runs one-to-one sessions at the Canine Centre. Consultations for aggression problems start at £45.
